PPP: Work Placement Research

*I have initially decided to want to do my work placement during Easter, therefore I have decided to want to send out my work placement emails around end of February/early March.

Field that I want to experience:

• Branding - It's something that I am increasingly becoming passionate about and a field that I am looking into applying into, so I would like to work within studios/agencies that have lots of brand identity experiences. 
• Print/Publication - Also another style I'd like to do more is publications/prints/editorials

Studios

• Checkland Kindleysides - High in demand and has done branding/ strategies that I find really exciting and conceptually driven e.g. their Byron rebrand.
• KISS Branding - Branding agency in Leeds, small team (led by two people)  - it's local and I'm really interested in similar projects that they've done as they are quite culturally driven in their branding and design which is also similar to the path that I want to pursue, so doing a placement here would be a great way for me to experience branding for real life brands that I can critically think for and create meaningful culturally driven designs for. 
• Glorious Creative - Manchester based - a big company as well like Checkland Kindleysides, therefore do wide variety of styles like Branding/branding strategy, editorial, packaging - which are the fields that I want to know more of. Doing a placement on a big agency like this would also give me a chance to experience how a bigger company operates and how each team communicate with one another and the work that is allocated to each member. 

Thoughts & reflections:

Looking at these 3 studios, I will send them placement emails in hopes to receive a reply back - or not.
