What I've said:
- Brief explanation of what my essay is about "appropriation and stereotyping of East Asian culture and traditions within High Fashion"
- Explaining that I've kept it broad because I'm still not sure about my final outcome.
- Worried about straying away from Graphic Design.
- Mentioned possible mediums like: publication, digital social media, campaign.
- It's good in a way that I've made it broad so I can experiment with different that I can create the final outcome, but just make sure that I keep the time in mind.
- Doing something digital might be really interesting?
- Maybe use aspects of Case Studies and the Graphic Design aspect that I've found and incorporate it in the practical somehow.
Thoughts & Reflections:
It was an okay crit, I got some good responses for my practical and some possible things to think about that could become ideas for the brief. It was also nice to hear what other people are doing and get ideas from their own brief into how I could come about answering and doing the brief.
