PPP Personal Branding: Business Card Development

business card -colour choices

  • Initial colour experiments!!!
  • Experimenting with different shades of oranges and complementary colours as well as monochrome versions

  • Orange and blue
  • High contrast, bright and eye-catching
  • Kind of prefer the orange text on the blue better
  • Changed up the layout slightly by putting the contact number on front - but looking at it again it doesn't really work- kind of looks like an advertisement for something and not a really business card.
  • One again, more alterations on design, instead of Nimbus Sans Extended Black, I decided to use Sporting Grotesque Bold. It has more of a softer and inviting tone to it, as its overall structure seem more elongated and wider which is prominent on the uppercase letter. On the other hand, the lower case have a really playful and approachable tone to it due to its wide and curvy ends making the design look more friendly, balancing the neat and professional tone with the approachable and friendly characteristic that I was looking for. It also gos well with the added illustration as well.
  • Making the '–' stand out more and used as motif in a way from the 'bra–il' - makes the design more cohesive and structures the information better as they are clearly separated and in a way it acts as an indicator to make the information stand out. out.
  • 'Baybayin' translation is moved on the bottom
  • Information structured differently as well with the website and email combined in a way as both platforms use the same handle 'bvistaaal'. It was awkward to repeat the same handle therefore I decided to combine it. It made the design much neater and uses less space as well. The contact number is moved to the back too, concentrate all the important info in one place - more convenient, with the exception of the instagram handle on the front with an illustration with it.
  • Concentrating the design on half of the space makes it look neater and less 'imposing' in a way.
Thoughts & Reflection:
I much prefer the newer design with the new typeface now but I will continue to try more colour matches as right now I think it makes the business card look a bit tacky with the full colours and wasn't exactly what I had in mind. After establishing a final design for the business card, I will continue with the other collateral so i already have a base structure and aesthetic that i can go with to make the overall brand cohesive.
