For our presentation on Tuesday, I submitted this business card design as part of my personal branding. Honestly, I haven't done much for personal branding and I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to refined it more, but this is a start that I've done.
I've thought of creating a logo however I feel like a logotype would be a better choice for me in presenting my 'style' and manifesto - 'DESIGNS THAT EXPLORE CULTURES AND REACHES OUT TO SOCIETY'. Instead I focused on the typography and colours that I've used in order to showcase my personal brand.
- Type - I used a bold and brutalist type font for a more universal and modern feel. Though it's bold it also portrays a 'soft' characteristic through it's 'bubbly' curves and short stems, especially when used in small text.
- Colour - I used orange as my main colour and the colour that represent me. It's a very diverse colour in my opinion as it can represent multiple themes such as:
- culture
- neutral
- change of movement
- brightness and positivity
- inviting but not overpowering

After some alterations, this is the final business card design that I ended up with. I quite satisfied with it and I think it represent me quite well in a way that it's quite minimal yet still has a playful and inviting feel to it. It doesn't indicate a certain graphic design style however I think it highlights that I can work on a wide range of styles and themes culturally and socially.
ADDITION!
Though I've already sent Alec the JPEG for the presentation, I altered the design as I decided I didn't quite like the layout of the information on the front part of the card. I made it more symmetrical rather than the awkward placing in the middle making it really vague and can be confusing to read.
